Coffee trees take approximately 5 years to mature.
The fruit/cherries of coffee trees turn bright red when ripe.
Each cherry usually contains two coffee beans.
Coffee cherries are harvested by hand.
A coffee tree will yield one to two pounds of coffee per year.
About 3,500 coffee beans are needed to produce one pound of roasted coffee.
